My Gutted Interview With Allie Stark: Reclaiming Intuition

My intuition has become my trusted life compass. Where I once lived in dread and suspicion of those inner messages, I now live to hear them. I am fortunate in that I often encounter human beings who actively curate their intuition. It reminds me that this is a superpower we all contain.

I adore these people and every time I cross paths with one, I feel as though my life has been sprinkled with fairy dust.

Allie Stark is one of those humans.

We met through the naturopath I sought out to help me with a litany of health issues earlier this year. Achy joints, extreme fatigue, weight gain – all symptoms I swept under the proverbial carpet of “stress” and “aging.”

Things went so far beyond bearable that I embarked on a quest for someone to help sort it out. I was hoping for a miracle, and I got pretty close.

It turns out my body was heavily poisoned with lead, mercury and a host of other scary sounding metals. I resisted the testing at first, assuring the doctor this could not be the problem. Thank goodness she insisted I do it based on my condition. This journey, and the resulting heavy metal detox, is definitely on my list for a future post.

Part of the protocol included seeing a wellness coach, which at first seemed irrelevant, or perhaps indulgent to me. I tend to like the fastest way from A to B and I wanted my travels from feeling awful to healthy to follow in this fashion. It wasn’t until I sat down with Allie that I realized I had been place in the hands of a master (and, yet again, sprinkled with fairy dust.) No question, my healing was accelerated and optimized by working with her.

We connected on a personal story level as well. So much so that she graciously invited me to be a part of her podcast, Gutted.

Her show explores the many ways we ignore our intuition, and how we can find our way back home again. I am convinced that the years I spent denying and turning away from my own inner knowing contributed largely to my journey down the path to personal catastrophe.

I am including the link here if you’d like to listen: Gutted: Eyes Wide Open

And, if you seek clarity, I highly recommend time with Allie’s intuitive intelligence. She is wicked smart, humble and truly gifted at her craft.

You can find her at Allie Stark Wellness in San Francisco.

With love,

db
